Mudroom lockers and benches
A typical locker unit has a bench seat, open cubbies or baskets underneath for shoes, hooks for coats and bags, and closed cabinets on top for off-season things. Each locker is usually 15 to 24 inches wide. We size them to the people using them, with lower hooks for kids.
Built for wet boots
Missouri winters bring slush and salt indoors. We use hard-wearing painted or clear finishes, keep solid wood off the floor where water sits, and can line cubbies with a wipeable bottom. Benches are built to be sat on by adults, not just to hold a basket.
Laundry rooms
Cabinets over the washer and dryer, a counter for folding, a hanging rod and a utility sink cabinet turn a laundry closet into a working room. Upper cabinets are hung high enough to open a top-loading lid if you have one.

A pantry can be a walk-in room lined with cabinets and shelves, or a single wall of tall cabinets with pull-out shelves in the kitchen. Drawers in the lower half are easier to reach than deep fixed shelves.
